Mizucon Returns June 14th – 16th

Well its that time of the year when we shift our climate from hot to hotter, it also is a sign that convention season will be in full swing again. This year Mizucon has moved their dates from the end of summer to the beginning. This weekend Mizucon will continue with there  6th year representing the anime and geek community in South Florida. Right now you can still pick up at weekend pass for $35 if you preorder on Mizucon.com. Orange Anime will not be attending Mizucon as panelists this year due to scheduling issues. However we do look forward to seeing everyone in attendance.

We grow to love and hate characters in a series we watch, often times cheering for the victory of the hero or main characters. Most series follow the same plot line, with the hero winning and the villain defeated, but what of those anime where you watch in horror as the person you cheered for dies before your eyes? We’ll discuss well known character deaths and not so well know deaths in some anime. Spoiler Alert!

Summary:
 Come out to Orange Anime’s Name That Tune game show. We will be showing video, unlike some other name that tune shows. We have different categories of anime and music, mostly from shows that aired between 2005 and now.

Summary:
 This panel reviews the quirkiest and weirdest hidden jokes and gems found in video games.

Summary:

Well, folks. Another year of MegaCon has come to pass and boy was it a great one. Orange Anime had a wonderful time at MegaCon and we would like to take this time to thank Anime Sushi. Anime Sushi gave us the chance to run our panels & events at MegaCon this year and we can’t give them enough of our gratitude!

The Goonies at Aventura AMC 24

For one night only, The Goonies will be playing at Aventura Mall’s AMC theater.

Remember the nostalgia you received the first time you watched this 1985 movie? Come and enjoy it again with friends and family.

Tickets must be purchased online from tugg.com. They will not be sold at the box office. There is a limited number of seats, so make sure you get yours asap!

This event is planned for 6:00pm to allow everyone time to eat and socialize before the 7:30pm movie time. We hope to see you there and remember: Goonies never say die!
