Hey there! Mizucon has come and gone for yet another year. The convention was held at the Miami DoubleTree Hotel right at the end of summer. School has started and we the fans of videogames, anime, and Japanese culture have to put on our regular clothes and go back to school. But we can always look back at the last convention of the summer which was filled with great things to see and do.
Some of the highlights included the 3000 Brigade’s new show, which featured various videogame characters fighting it out over ownership of their show. This show featured many extravagant costumes and dance routines that many fans enjoyed and has come to be the main draw of the convention.
UmiCon Daytona is an upcoming multi-genre convention in beautiful Daytona, FL. It rests on the beautiful waters of the Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona, FL.
UmiCon Daytona will be held on Sep. 7-9th, 2012 and Orange Anime is proud to announce that we will be providing panels and events for the upcoming convention. We look forward to working with UmiCon Daytona as it grows ot be one of the best conventions in the state of FL.

The year was 2008 when our world became a bleak and desolate place for anime fans. The beloved block schedule of anime called Toonami was cancelled.
Recently, however, on April 1st, 2012, in honor of the Fool’s Day, Cartoon Network aired hours of anime including Dragonball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star and Tenchi Muyo! with no foreseeable continuance of the block.
Lo and behold, anime fans, that on the historical date of Wednesday, May 15th, 2012, Adult Swim/ Cartoon Network officially announced the revival of Toonami!
Toonami is scheduled to return on May 27th at midnight.
Anime titles currently listed to be shown are:
– Fullmetal Alchemist
– Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
– Fooly Cooly (FLCL)
– Cowboy Beebop
– Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
You can check out the times for each anime on the t.v. guide website here.
Everyone here at Orange Anime is excited and more than ready to tune in. What do you think about Toonami’s return?
